Principal's Message ~ Friday, January 26th, 2018

Forest Hills School

We Build Inclusion, Capacity, and Learning Communities

January 26th, 2018

This is a message from Mrs. Savoie, principal at Forest Hills School.

Please note that we’ve made a few changes with arrival and dismissal.  Our busses will be making one stop at the front doors and all students will exit there.  Also, after school, to alleviate congestion in our bus loading zone, Middle Level walking students will be exiting the side door by the soccer field or behind the school.  There will be supervision out back at this time.

Wednesday the 31st is the last day for grade K, 2 and 5 students to register for French Immersion for next year.  The online link to register is on the ASD-S website.

Wednesday is also Bell’s Let’s Talk Day in support of Mental Health.

February is fitness month at Forest Hills School.  Next week your child will be bringing home a fitness calendar.  Students are encouraged to complete one activity each day with their family.  Students who complete a minimum of 22 activities and return their calendar by March 1 will be entered in a draw to win prizes.  Thank you to the Home and School for supporting this endeavor.

Also, children will be working on a class fitness bingo and will be doing some research about a country participating in the Olympics.

Finally, all parents and students are invited to attend our Family Phys. Ed. Night Tuesday, Feb. 6.  Doors open at 6 and the fun begins at 6:15.  There will be a variety of activities including rugby, golf, dance and more.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  The cost is free but if your child would like to play laser tag there will be a $2 fee.  Hope to see you there!

Remember Falcons, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe!

Have a nice weekend,
